Welcome to
Katherine Teeter-Wood Tutoring
Rooted in understanding. Branch into confidence.

In computer science, branch and bound is a problem solving algorithm:
You branch out by breaking a big problem into smaller, manageable pieces.
You set bounds to focus on the solutions that really matter.
I believe learning works the same way.
At Katherine Teeter Wood Tutoring and Branch and Bound Education Resources, students explore new ideas step by step, build a strong foundation, and develop the confidence to tackle even the trickiest problems.
Rooted in over five years of one on one tutoring, my tutoring sessions and resources are designed to help learners branch out, set clear goals, and grow at their own pace, one skill at a time.
More Than A Session
It takes a team and commitment.

Virtual and In-Person Sessions
Depending on your student and your situation, the sessions can be conducted either virtually on zoom or in-person after we have decided what works best for everyone involved.
Private and Small Group Sessions
Private tutoring sessions are available.
As a more affordable option for high school students only, if you and 1 to 3 friends need help in the same class, we can work together to find a mutually agreeable time to learn and work together. Small group sessions are only available in-person or virtually (not hybrid).
Content Adjustment
Whether your student is struggling with a subject, needs a bit more clarification, or needs to be challenged academically with new and exciting things, each session can be tailored to the needs of your student.
Flexible Scheduling
Everyone has busy and changing schedules. I will work with you to find a mutually agreeable time that works consistently week to week. When things change unexpectedly, I always do my best to make up your session as soon as possible.
Additional Resources
Sometimes students need more practice than what is provided in the classroom. Additional free and paid resources outside of regular sessions are available.
Testimonials
First hand reports from parents of current and former students.

About Me
A brief introduction to your tutor.

Hi, I'm Katherine!

I started tutoring in September of 2020 as a way to support elementary and high school students through the challenges of learning during the pandemic, and since then, Katherine Teeter-Wood Tutoring has grown into so much more than that. I have tutored over 60 students, some for years, some just for a few weeks to help prepare for their exams, and every duration in between.
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science with Chemistry and a Minor in Biology from Western University, from which I graduated in the inaugural class of 2020. I continued to earn my Masters of Science in Plant Agriculture from the University of Guelph in 2023. Since then, I have been working as an Agronomist in Grey County and love helping farmers with their operation.

I am truly passionate about math and science, and it brings me incredible joy to help students develop their skills and confidence in these subjects.

I earned the Diplome d'Etudes en Langue Francaise (DELF) Level B2 in 2016 after pursuing French Immersion from senior kindergarten through till the end of grade twelve. The gift of a second language is incredible, and I love helping students work on their abilities as well.

I have studied piano for nearly twenty years, most of which by following the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum. I successfully earned the Grade 8 certificate, including practical and theory components, as well as the Grade 9 practical certificate. I love playing piano in my free time and love passing that passion and those skills on to my students.

I tailor each tutoring session to meet your student where they are in their understanding and work with them to build strong foundations, thorough understanding, and confidence to tackle gradually more challenging problems.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and working with your student!
